Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview

An Industrial Engineering company specializing in custom conveyor systems design, commissioning, and integration is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding design team. The Mechanical team hires Entry Level (0–2 years’ experience) engineers and offers on‐the‐job training to boost your drafting, design, and project execution skills. You will work alongside tenured engineers as well as peers at similar levels. Ideal candidates are recent engineering graduates with a strong academic record.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position that will become permanent after 6 months. The company promotes internally, offering plenty of room for advancement. Candidates must pass a background check and a drug test.

Key Responsibilities

• Create designs for mechanical equipment and systems.
• Design, lay out, and detail components and systems.
• Maintain project drawing files.
• Read and interpret shop drawings.
• Prepare submittal documentation.
• Participate actively in on-the-job training programs.
• Optionally travel to customer sites for product intake and installations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (GPA 3.6+) or from the School of Mines (GPA 3.3+); ideal candidates are recent graduates with high academic performance.
• 0–2 years of experience in drafting/designing using tools such as Revit, MicroStation, Autodesk, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
