Position Overview
Jacksonville Flower Market is seeking a Social Media and Brand Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you will create, manage, and adapt content for a variety of social media outlets and campaigns while promoting engagement across all channels. You will oversee social media campaigns — from research and content creation to execution, monitoring, and reporting — and assist in our retail store by engaging with customers. Some weekends are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor all incoming marketing requests and serve as a liaison between marketing and other departments.
- Manage the JFM library of resources and facilitate incoming requests for materials.
- Handle campaign-related or marketing shipping needs.
- Assist with the development of engaging social media strategies and plans aligned with the company’s business goals.
- Facilitate marketing requests, including collateral creation, PowerPoints, scripts, and talking points.
- Collaborate with the team to develop, produce, and execute internal and external marketing promotions and campaigns.
- Build engagement around key marketing initiatives such as holidays, classes, events, and bridal shows.
- Establish and manage relationships with news and radio media.
- Monitor and update content on the JFM website.
- Support and participate in JFM events, town halls, tradeshows, campaigns, and other initiatives as required.
- Ensure that all communication connects back to the JFM brand, mission, and values.
- Act as a backup point of contact when needed.
- Assist the owner and wedding coordinators on special projects and assignments.
- Create messages, materials, and tools to effectively communicate with key audiences.
- Exhibit strong project management, innovative problem solving, and adaptability in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrate excellent writing skills combined with speed, flexibility, and keen attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with social media platforms such as Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and Eventbrite.
- Demonstrated AI knowledge and/or relevant certification, training, or coursework.
- Proven dynamic storytelling, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities in accordance with all JFM policies.
