Position Overview
The Voluntary Benefits Marketing Manager plays a critical role in driving lead generation and new business growth through the Pet's Voluntary Benefits channel. Serving as the primary liaison between marketing and two specialized sales teams, this role develops and executes strategies to support acquisition and participation goals. This position may be based in Columbus, Ohio, Scottsdale, Arizona, or considered for internal remote candidates with critical industry skills.
Your marketing savvy, strong communication skills, and data-driven approach will be key to planning, developing, and implementing mid-to-high complexity projects that enable aggressive growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team that assists in the development and execution of strategies and plans for sustainable business growth.
- Lead a team that leverages customer insights and analytics to make data-based decisions and forecast market and customer needs.
- Oversee projects with multiple target completion dates and shifting priorities.
- Implement digital and traditional marketing tactics including creative development, media planning, and execution.
- Oversee creative development by providing feedback on look, feel, and creative briefs.
- Monitor emerging innovative trends in content, design, and marketing tactics.
- Ensure programs remain on strategy and schedule, holding the team accountable.
- Hire and develop talent while providing consistent coaching, feedback, and compensation recommendations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
- Eight or more years of professional experience in marketing, insurance, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing methodologies, distribution systems, and customer insights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead market planning projects.
- Ability to develop and review research studies, communicate findings, and negotiate contracts/service agreements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree preferred.
- Technical insurance designations such as CPCU, CLU, ChFC, or FLMI.
- Prior management experience.

- Salary Range: National range is $108,000.00-$200,000.00 and the expected starting range is $108,000.00 - $162,000.00.
