Position Overview
Account Executives – this is a sales role, so if you’re applying, don’t just send us your CV. Get creative and sell us on you! Heron is rapidly expanding and looking for creative sales professionals who want to make a significant impact. In this role, you will lead the full sales cycle, drive revenue through prospecting and qualifying leads, and build deep customer relationships while having the opportunity to earn significant upside via commission.
Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities
- Handle the full sales cycle including prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals using both high-volume outbound and account-based techniques.
- Collaborate across the business by interacting with numerous prospects, building strong customer relationships, and working with product and engineering teams to prioritize features.
- Represent Heron from our New York office in Soho and travel across the US to conferences, industry events, and customer sites.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications
- 3+ years in B2B sales with a proven track record of high achievement and quota attainment. Experience in SaaS and/or financial services is preferred.
- Experienced across the sales funnel – from sourcing to closing.
- Comfortable selling technical products (such as those using APIs, AI, or LLMs).
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit with an ownership mindset, strong results orientation, and the ability to move quickly.
- Exhibit key behaviors: scrappiness and creativity in problem-solving, persistence in overcoming obstacles, and a metrics-driven approach to achieving targets.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, and team-based environment while valuing diversity and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bonus if you are an ex-founder or have been an early/first sales hire.
