As part of HDR’s Transportation Business Group, the Tolling Market Lead will partner with local teams to cultivate and manage client relationships with toll agencies worldwide while championing the growth and evolution of HDR’s toll industry services.

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the future of mobility by working across 36 operating areas to identify projects, support marketing initiatives, and engage with industry organizations like IBTTA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with local area teams to cultivate and manage client relationships with toll agencies globally.
  • Champion the identification and development of toll projects and programs across HDR’s 36 operating areas.
  • Enhance HDR’s suite of toll industry services by delivering offerings such as AET conversions, planning and design, mobility and operational technology services, and advisory services.
  • Research toll market trends and support teams in the identification, pursuit, and delivery of tolling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with HDR leaders to broaden service offerings and provide professional development for staff.
  • Lead HDR’s strategy for industry organization engagement, ensuring a strong presence in associations such as IBTTA.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
  • Experience in developing and managing strategic marketing programs for architecture, engineering, and planning services.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage a wide range of client relationships and program/project pursuits.
  • Experience in overall staff development including recruiting, career path planning, and professional growth.
  • Active involvement with industry associations and maintaining a visible profile in the market sector.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with senior leaders across various departments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and an active participation in our employee-owned culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PE Preferred
  • Recognized leader in the Toll Roads/Toll Facilities space.
  • Proven ability to set and execute a growth strategy for a practice in the tolling market.
  • Established relationships with major toll clients and DOTs.
