Job Description

Position Overview

We are hiring a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Electrician / Controls Technician for high-demand production facilities in California’s Central Valley (Fresno/Bakersfield). This role supports mission-critical operations in manufacturing, food processing, and distribution industries. You will install and maintain 480V motors, troubleshoot PLCs, repair conveyor systems, and collaborate closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to ensure equipment uptime and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues involving motors, panels, lighting, and controls.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMI systems, and sensors.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to complete installations and repairs.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical and automation equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and company-specific safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate logs of repairs, inspections, and upgrades.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience in manufacturing or processing.
  • Journeyman-level electrical knowledge and field troubleshooting ability.
  • Proficiency with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or comparable PLCs.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and workplace safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting production demands.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, occasional weekends, and emergency calls.
