Position Overview

The Director of Nonprofit Operations and Leadership is a high-impact role at a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing essential furniture and household items to individuals transitioning out of homelessness. In this strategic position, you will ensure program excellence, financial stability, and community engagement while collaborating closely with the Board of Directors. You will manage a team of part-time staff, lead a broad volunteer network, and represent the organization at various events and meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee program excellence, financial stability, and community engagement.
  • Manage and mentor a dedicated team of part-time staff and lead a large volunteer network.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Secure grants and expand revenue streams through effective fundraising efforts.
  • Represent the organization at events and meetings to enhance brand awareness and stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience Required: Minimum of 4 years managing staff and budgets in a nonprofit environment; 10 years of progressive development experience.
  • Proven fundraising skills with a track record of securing grants and expanding revenue streams.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience overseeing a mix of part-time staff and volunteers.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in nonprofit management, marketing, and communications, with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing social service sector networks and community engagement experience.
  • Hands-on experience with program development and strategic planning within non-profit settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with boards and external stakeholders.
