Entry Level Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer - Summer 2026 (Data Centers)

In this role, you’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks while gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You will provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and discipline leads, and help design and optimize control systems for various processes in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities, will be essential in producing control system designs, developing process optimizations, and ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks and ensure alignment with project scope and budget.
• Provide on-site support during startup and coordinate work activities with team members and discipline leads.
• Design and optimize control systems, including developing P&IDs, sizing valves, specifying instrumentation, and documenting design information.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete, world-class solutions for new facilities.
• Support the team in developing options and optimizations for process control, instrumentation, and automation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
• Previous relevant internship experience.
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain EIT prior to hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Revit software.
• Experience with DDC and PLC based control systems.
• Experience with Data Center design or operations.
