Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of duties involved with preparing and serving foods and beverages in one or more of a variety of food service operations.
• Prepare food, serve food, and may serve as cashier.
• Demonstrate proper cash handling procedures, maintain cafeteria area, follow HACCP guidelines, and meet deadlines for opening and closing the cafeteria.
• Follow standardized recipes, monitor food for appropriate taste and appearance, and practice safe food handling techniques.
• Perform routine diet nourishment functions, understand modified diets, and prepare nourishments.
• Perform routine patient cart functions, understand modified diets preparation, and check tray temperatures.
• Prepare grill and fried items, pre-prepare and stock food items, assist at steam table/salad bar/beverage area, and maintain a clean work area.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some Food Service experience is desirable.
• Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.
