Job Description

Position Overview

The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for learning and understanding the entire front-end process to ensure successful service for our patients. Working in a fast-paced environment, this role handles inbound and outbound calls, processes orders, verifies insurance details, and educates patients on their financial responsibility.Workplace:On-site in Chicago, IL.Hours:Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM.Application Deadline:Jan 28, 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of current products and services offered by the company.
  • Answer all calls and emails in a timely manner.
  • Document call information according to standard operating procedures.
  • Respond to questions about products, services, retail locations, and general service line information.
  • Process orders, route calls to the appropriate resource, and follow up on customer inquiries.
  • Review and verify documentation for accuracy, including insurance eligibility and coverage details.
  • Navigate multiple online EMR systems to obtain and enter pertinent information.
  • Communicate ongoing trends and concerns with management and the Customer Service team.
  • Contact patients for missing or incomplete documentation to facilitate the referral process.
  • Meet quality assurance requirements and key performance metrics.
  • Utilize company provided tools such as Authorization Guidelines, Insurance Guidelines, Fee Schedules, NPI, PECOS, and “How-To” documents.
