Medical Insurance Billing Specialist

Position Overview

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY. This is a fully onsite role. Application Deadline: Jan 21, 2026.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare & process various insurance claims, verifying data by conferring with appropriate agencies on a daily basis.
• Create & process electronic claims submissions for various payers on a daily basis.
• Research any error claims, make corrections, and resubmit.
• Review AR reports daily and perform follow-up on delinquent accounts.
• Receive, investigate, and respond to inquiries from payers and/or agencies concerning AR activity.
• Maintain & develop AR schedules to track issues and resolutions.
• Resolve all customer requests, inquiries, and concerns.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Critical thinker and independent worker
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical billing/coding certification is preferred
