Position Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst (Hands-on) with minimum 6 years of experience in Data Analysis, specializing in advanced SQL functions and the Healthcare (Payer) industry. In this role, you will work closely with business users, architects, and technical teams to deliver data-driven insights and robust reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with business users to understand and translate business requirements into data solutions.
• Collaborate with architects to design and develop efficient data models.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract and analyze large, complex Payer data sets (Membership and Claims).
• Prepare comprehensive source-to-target mapping documents including joins, filters, and transformation rules.
• Partner with technical teams for ETL development and/or Tableau reporting development.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years experience in Data Analysis.
• Proficient in advanced SQL functions.
• Advanced knowledge of the Healthcare (Payer) industry.
• Ability to analyze large and complex Payer data, including Membership and Claims.
• Strong capability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating with architects and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with database technologies such as Postgres, RedShift, Hadoop and/or Oracle.
• Payer domain knowledge in Provider, Billing and/or Care Management areas.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Visio, Access, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
