Entry Level Structural Engineer

Position Overview

DRPILLA is currently seeking a full-time Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our Structural Practice. The role involves working on a variety of projects including office buildings, hotels, residential, educational, performing arts, sports, and medical office facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Review structures and foundations and assist with performing analyses for the existing and proposed configurations.
• Assist with analyses on projects of varying complexity using hand calculations, finite element analysis software, and other accepted methods.
• Assist with performing structural investigations of existing structures.
• Help design modifications for vertical structures and foundations.
• Generate required engineering reports for review.
• Perform site visits as needed to gather necessary data.
• Review shop drawings, structural drawings, and calculations.
• Travel may be required on a project basis.

Required Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering is required; MS Degree in Civil Engineering and/or EIT is a plus.
• 0-3 years of related experience.
• Understanding of modeling, design, and analysis of vertical structures, as well as overall building design and analysis.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD 2019 or newer.
• Requires a valid, clean driver’s license, as travel to job sites (including those in the NYC metro area) is required.
