Position Overview

We are Hiring Mental Health Therapists at Peace Hospital! Located at 2020 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40205, Peace Hospital – part of UofL Health – is a private, non‐profit behavioral health hospital known for caring for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Join our team and help deliver patient-centered, compassionate care in an environment committed to excellence. Work schedule: FT Days, 8 hours per shift, 5 shifts per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to board-mandated professional development and CEU requirements to maintain active provisional licensure.
  • Demonstrate screening and assessment skills to obtain essential information from patients, families, or collateral sources and develop person-centered care and discharge plans.
  • Document and communicate key information with physicians and the interdisciplinary treatment team, providing rationale for prioritization and/or deferment of issues.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to families, individuals, and groups, including specialized treatments (e.g., sexual offender therapy, play therapy, EMDR) when certified or credentialed.
  • Exhibit proficiency in clinical documentation, including the development of care plan goals, objectives, and intervention strategies.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and timely, maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a behavioral health or human services related field (required).
  • Licensure/Certification as a Clinical Social Worker (CSW), Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA), or Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) in the state of KY within 45 days of hire (required).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (required).
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training and ability to perform CPI techniques (required).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of clinical experience in a behavioral health or human services setting (preferred).
