Computer Field Technician

Position Overview

Based out of Granbury, Texas, BC Tech Pro partners with technicians nationwide to complete on‐site hardware warranty services in their territories. This Computer Field Technician role involves hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. Prior hands‑on experience with laptop and desktop hardware is required.

Key Responsibilities

• 1099/per call position – Compensation is based solely on the number of calls completed.
• Compensation: Calls start at $35 and may increase based on distance traveled.
• Pay Period: Every Friday after the first week worked.
• Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift; candidates must be available at least 3 weekdays.
• Certifications: Complete Dell and Lenovo certifications as part of onboarding (online and free).
• Must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to visit multiple work sites.
• Log in daily to the tech portal by 9 am to code calls and map routes.
• Confirm service times with customers and complete services at residential or commercial sites.
• Pick up parts daily from the assigned FedEx or UPS store and drop off old parts using the provided pre-paid label.

Required Qualifications

• Prior hands‐on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable with daily local travel
