Position Overview

Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis‐based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Technician to join its Maintenance Engineering group. With a legacy spanning over 100 years in producing reliable pump solutions globally, you will play a crucial role in repairing, adjusting, and maintaining a wide range of machinery and mechanical equipment at our Indianapolis facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose problems, dismantle, inspect, clean, lubricate, repair, replace worn or damaged parts, reassemble and adjust various machine tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair CNC control/servo drive, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues quickly and accurately.
  • Utilize thorough knowledge of PLC and CNC controls including ladder logic to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Develop, build, fabricate, fit, or alter parts and rebuild special machines, attachments, and fixtures.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance and Production teams to ensure on-time production order performance and high customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED/HSE/HiSET or equivalent *required.
  • Thorough knowledge of machine construction, functions, and methods of repair and adjustment.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair CNC controls, servo drives, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Hands-on experience with manual, power-driven, and pneumatic tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and operating precision instruments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional technical training *much preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools *much preferred.
  • Veterans with MOS experience in maintaining and repairing sophisticated or precision mechanical systems *much preferred.
