Position Overview
The Supply Chain Execution Analyst meets requirements for Supply Chain Management related activities including the procurement of equipment, materials, and services for domestic and international refineries, VTDC locations, MLP, and joint ventures operations, maintenance, turnarounds, and capital projects (excluding purchase of refinery feedstocks, energy, and transportation for feedstock and products). The role addresses Supply Chain Management requirements for all sites and executive management. The analyst develops and issues RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs as needed; assures warehouse inventory purchase requirements through supplier agreements; and ensures timely delivery to meet deadlines. They build strong networks with suppliers, sites, and executive management, ensuring purchases comply with Valero's Approved Manufacturers Lists (AMLs) and all company guidelines, policies, and procedures. Working with other Supply Chain Management directors and managers, the analyst maximizes the utilization of multi-site agreements, provides feedback on supplier performance, and assists sites with resolution of supplier issues. Additionally, they coordinate efforts with corporate engineering and project execution to reduce total cost of ownership and maximize profitability. This is a salaried exempt status position.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet requirements for Supply Chain Management related activities.
- Procure equipment, materials, and services for domestic and international refineries and VTDC locations.
- Develop and issue RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs as required.
- Assure warehouse inventory purchase requirements are met through supplier agreements.
- Ensure timely delivery of equipment, materials, and services.
- Develop strong networks and working relationships with suppliers and executive management.
- Ensure compliance with Valero's Approved Manufacturers Lists (AMLs).
- Provide feedback on supplier performance and opportunities for improvements.
- Assist sites with supplier performance issues resolution.
- Coordinate Supply Chain Management efforts with corporate engineering and project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Memphis Refinery.
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of experience in supply chain management, engineering, auditing, business analytics, or related functions.
- Eligibility to obtain a TWIC card.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in procurement of refinery-related goods and services.
