Position Overview
Morrison Healthcare is a leading national food and nutrition services company exclusively dedicated to serving over 600 hospitals and healthcare systems. With a reputation built on exceptional guest experiences and award‐winning workplace culture, this role as Patient Services Manager is responsible for directing Patient Food Services throughout the region. You will manage, educate, train, and improve the performance of patient food service personnel while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing patient satisfaction. Compensation: 90–105K; Other Compensation: RELOCATION ASSISTANCE; must be open to up to 80% travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates and implements system’s patient service programs based on medical direction, patient population, and contract guidelines.
- Hires, leads, directs, coaches, trains, and develops patient services managers and supervisors.
- Oversees the evaluation and discipline of patient food services employees per departmental policy.
- Monitors competency, productivity, and documentation accuracy utilizing necessary tools and resources.
- Visits patients on assigned nursing units or areas to ensure management or professional team members connect with every patient during their hospital stay.
- Ensures patient services staff actively contribute to achieving stated patient satisfaction goals.
- Communicates effectively with team members, patients, and families via conferences, consultations, and committee participation.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Hospitality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of five (5) years of work experience, including at least two (2) years in healthcare with one (1) year in a managerial role.
- Certified Dietary Manager required if not holding a degree in Nutrition or Dietetics; Registered Dietitian preferred.
- ServSafe® Certified.
- Familiarity with food and catering trends with a focus on quality, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels.
- Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational competencies.
- Proficient with various computer programs including Microsoft Office and email platforms.
