Position Overview

Gusto is a modern, online people platform that helps small businesses take care of their teams. In this full-time role focused on ensuring small business customers complete their onboarding, you will interact with customers via email, chat, and live phone calls to match our people platform to their specific business needs. Our mission is to create a world where work empowers a better life. Anticipated Start Date: October 6.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer live chats and phone calls, and engage in email communication with customers at various stages of the sales process: discovery, decision, and onboarding.
  • Support customers through the onboarding process.
  • Identify and execute on additional upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Develop customer empathy and product expertise.
  • Advise on onboarding solutions for small businesses by leveraging internal resources.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a high volume onboarding or customer service environment with cross-selling/up-selling or quota/KPI responsibilities.
  • Desire to pursue a long-term career in onboarding.
  • Commitment to customer empathy and ethical business practices.
  • Passion for achieving goals and continually improving your craft.
  • Excellent communication skills via phone, email, and chat.
  • Motivation by challenges and adaptability to change.

Benefits & Perks

  • Hourly Pay: $23.00 - $24.50 for Denver, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Phoenix. Final offer amounts may vary based on experience and expertise.
  • Office Location Requirements: Physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City with an expected in-office presence of approximately 2-3 days per week.
