Position Overview

Design is everything. We’re super excited to be on the lookout for our first designer to help grow our company. Design touches everything from our users to our internal tools to our culture. We want you to bring your talents and leave your mark on our product.

HireReady is an education platform that teaches vocational skills to those looking for jobs in hospitality and food services. We’re a lifeline for those who need work and believe that learning doesn’t stop after school. Although we’re just months old, we’re growing rapidly and need scrappy, passionate talent to help us scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design seamless customer experiences
• Take our vision, combine it with yours, and create beautiful, intuitive designs
• Collaborate with a fast-paced team and adapt to changes
• Work within tight timelines
• Design for diverse user types
• Contribute to non-design company needs
• Be receptive to analytics and business decisions and iterate your work accordingly

Required Qualifications

• A strong, web-based portfolio
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator
• Fun-loving attitude
• 0-2 years of work experience
• NOT an asshole

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree in Graphic Design or Interactive Design is preferred
• Startup experience is a plus
• Growth/Marketing experience is a plus
