Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging.
  • Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, clearly explaining each phase with transparency and empathy.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring physicians to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any technical issues.
  • Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain patient records within the electronic medical system.
  • Stay current with advancements in ultrasound imaging methodologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline.
  • Requirements: Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is favorable.
  • Qualifications: Strong technical expertise in sonographic imaging, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference for completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program.
