About the Role

HangarFour is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial and talented SVP, Social Media & Influencer to drive high-impact, integrated digital strategies for a wide variety of clients.

You will be responsible for the successful management of digital strategy across client brands, overseeing the agency’s social and influencer practice while connecting digital thinking to every aspect of a client’s business. You understand how brands are communicated and experienced through digital interactions, and more importantly, how those interactions fit into broader customer journeys and real-world experiences.

The ideal candidate brings 12-15+ years of experience with a track record of developing and executing sophisticated social, influencer and integrated digital programs that ladder into larger marketing initiatives. You are both a strategic visionary and an operational driver - someone who can set the north star while also ensuring the day-to-day runs seamlessly.

This role requires a flexible, proactive approach, strong writing skills, deep understanding of the influencer and creator ecosystem, and the ability to manage multiple clients, projects and team members. You will oversee Digital/Content Strategists, Influencer Strategists and Community Managers, while playing an active role in mentorship, team development and culture building.

Additionally, as a senior member of the HangarFour leadership team, you will help identify and drive business development efforts by partnering with key members of the agency, our sister agency DKC, and other members within our holding company, ACC.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Set the vision for HangarFour’s digital practice across social media, influencer and emerging platforms.
  • Develop unique, insight-driven digital strategies that build upon and evolve existing client programs to meet and exceed objectives.
  • Connect digital ecosystems to broader brand, PR, experiential and marketing efforts.
  • Interpret audits and research to deliver executive-level strategic recommendations and competitive insights.
  • Develop a deep understanding of online target audiences, behavioral drivers and motivational mindsets.

Innovation & Growth

  • Serve as a thought leader on emerging trends, platforms and technologies.
  • Proactively track clients’ marketing and media plans, identifying new digital opportunities for growth.
  • Recommend and integrate solutions, including social, influencer, content, site optimization, promotional activations, and new technologies.
  • Champion innovation within the agency to elevate our capabilities and market position.

Client Leadership & Execution

  • Act as a senior strategic partner and primary client contact across key accounts.
  • Oversee day-to-day digital operations, including research, scope development, creative briefing, campaign execution, and reporting.
  • Organize and manage information flow between clients and internal teams, ensuring agency processes are followed.
  • Lead strategic presentations, campaign reviews, and brainstorms.
  • Provide clear, consistent campaign performance reporting and analysis.
  • Oversee agency relationships with reporting vendors and technology partners, recommending enhancements as needed.

Content & Influencer Oversight

  • Lead development of written, visual, and multimedia content strategies.
  • Ensure excellence in editorial standards across all social initiatives.
  • Oversee influencer and brand partnership strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain strong relationships within the creator ecosystem.
  • Possess fluency across B2B and B2C strategies on LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, Reddit, YouTube and emerging platforms.

Team & Business Development

  • Lead and mentor social and digital teams.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Media, Analytics, and PR teams to ensure fully integrated programs.
  • Play a key role in new business development - identifying opportunities, shaping pitch strategies and expanding digital service offerings.
  • Partner with HangarFour leadership, DKC, and ACC to drive agency growth.

Required Qualifications

  • 12-15+ years of experience (agency experience a plus) in social media, digital strategy and influencer marketing.
  • Proven success in developing and leading complex, integrated digital programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow major client relationships.
  • Strong operational understanding of scope development, workflow and team management.
  • Experience leading integrated marketing programs across earned, owned and paid channels.
  • Deep knowledge of digital analytics, reporting, and performance optimization.
  • Strong interest in technology and emerging digital trends.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and client leadership abilities.
  • Track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
