Job Description

Position Overview

Join AWS Infrastructure Services as a motivated Health and Safety (H&S) Lead Auditor. You will drive safety compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across a global network that powers the cloud. In this role, you’ll shape and enhance our Safety Management Program while partnering across diverse teams to uphold AWS’s world‐class safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business support functions to plan for and execute H&S audits.
  • Manage end-to-end audit projects and oversee resource allocation.
  • Lead and participate in audits including on-site verification and self-assessments to provide objective assurance on the Safety Management Program (SMP).
  • Collaborate with Operations leaders and various stakeholders to agree on audit findings and corrective actions.
  • Draft clear, concise audit reports and guide management on appropriate corrective actions.
  • Perform analyses of audit outcomes to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Highlight hazards beyond the normal audit scope and propose effective corrective solutions.
  • Support the design and delivery of internal auditor training and share best practices to boost overall H&S performance.
  • Earn the trust of operational partners through proactive engagement and continuous education on emerging safety risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, or risk/loss prevention.
  • 3+ years’ experience in internal or external auditing.
  • 3+ years’ experience in program or project management.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally (estimated at 50%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISO45001 lead auditor certification or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and relationship-building skills with the ability to coach at multiple levels.
  • Knowledge of applicable region-specific federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
  • Experience working across multiple countries/jurisdictions to deliver audit programs.
