Position Overview

Experience Tulsa, part of InTulsa Initiative, LLC and the George Kaiser Family Foundation's Talent Pillar, is dedicated to positioning Tulsa as a destination for top talent by celebrating the city’s innovation, inclusivity, and vibrant community. In this role, the Experience Tulsa Marketing Manager will lead and implement a direct-to-consumer marketing strategy that builds emotional connections with Tulsa and deepens awareness of the Experience Tulsa brand.

As the creative strategist and experience architect for the program, you will drive lifestyle-focused campaigns, community-based storytelling, and place-driven messaging that resonate with prospective and current residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Experience Tulsa core team to define and execute annual marketing strategies tailored to consumer audiences.
  • Lead development of creative campaigns that celebrate Tulsa’s neighborhoods, culture, and people across social media, web, video and print.
  • Ensure the Experience Tulsa social media strategy aligns with other initiatives and lead content planning with support from the Social Media team.
  • Develop and manage advertising strategies targeting both local and national audiences, ensuring resonance with those considering Tulsa as a place to live.
  • Experiment with new media formats, storytelling techniques, and marketing channels to deepen emotional engagement.
  • Identify and elevate community stories that reflect Tulsa’s vibrancy, diversity, and inclusivity.
  • Partner with vendors (designers, photographers, content creators, developers) to produce creative assets that reinforce a compelling brand identity.
  • Create branded digital and physical experiences that make newcomers feel welcomed and connected to Tulsa.
  • Support events, activations, and campaigns that showcase Tulsa’s lifestyle, values, and community spirit.
  • Ensure all brand interactions—from welcome kits to landing pages—are intentional, inclusive, and people-first.
  • Collaborate with internal analytics teams to define marketing goals, KPIs, and benchmarks to measure impact and ROI.
  • Manage and optimize the marketing tech stack (HubSpot, Canva, Asana, Webflow) to support campaign execution and performance tracking.
  • Develop templates, workflows, and content libraries for consistent, high-quality brand execution.
  • Maintain campaign documentation, audience journey maps, and knowledge management systems to drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Business, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 5–10 years of experience in consumer-focused marketing within lifestyle, nonprofit, or place-branding sectors.
  • Proven success in creating and executing brand-aligned campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and emotional connection.
  • Experience managing marketing operations and platforms including HubSpot, Canva, Webflow, and Asana.
  • Ability to craft compelling brand narratives with strong emotional storytelling skills.
  • Innovative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple campaigns across digital and physical platforms.
  • Collaborative mindset with a consumer-first focus and proven project execution abilities.
  • Physical ability to stand and move for events, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
