Position Overview
Depot Service Technician position located in Zelienople, PA for a duration of 12 Months working 40.00 hours per week on 1st shift. This role is for a Medical Device Company under the Technical category at an Entry Level. Employment is on a Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens, GC Holders Only).
The Depot Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, disassembly, testing, and assembly of electro-mechanical medical devices while ensuring all service work is clearly documented in the approved Service Management System using documented procedures, work instructions, and engineering drawings as defined in the client Quality System.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, disassemble, test, and assemble electro-mechanical medical devices.
- Document all service work in the approved Service Management System.
- Follow documented procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings, or sketches as defined in the client Quality System.
- Utilize good keyboard data entry skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Write accurate technical reports with strong writing skills.
- Document service activity to repair returned equipment per corporate standards and local procedures.
- Analyze and investigate returned equipment through data review and operational testing.
- Identify any negative trends for the devices by reviewing past service history.
- Track returned equipment through the Service Management System and report repair status accurately.
- Set up and operate test equipment to record measurements properly.
- Assemble and test electronic components and subassemblies for device repair.
- Participate in the development or editing of local documentation for equipment repair.
- Maintain working knowledge of company policies, and comply with ISO and FDA requirements.
- Assist Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure systems are in compliance with all guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including incoming receiving and decontamination of devices.
- Independently coordinate assignments with limited supervision.
- Demonstrate technical competence, teamwork, and a task/result-oriented approach.
- Perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Meet physical requirements by frequently standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to manipulate objects, tools, and equipment.
- Occasionally reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
