Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves performing blood collection, patient care, and supporting clinical laboratory procedures in a fast-paced medical environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong laboratory techniques, excellent patient service skills, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and anatomy. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care while gaining valuable clinical laboratory experience.
Compensation: From $11.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Perform specimen collection and processing, including venipuncture and blood sampling, ensuring proper labeling and handling
- Assist with patient care activities such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations or procedures
- Follow aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during specimen collection and other procedures
- Support laboratory operations by preparing samples for testing and ensuring accurate documentation
- Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to assist healthcare providers effectively
- Maintain patient comfort and provide excellent patient service throughout all interactions
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks related to specimen tracking and record keeping
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings, with a focus on phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture, blood sampling, vital signs measurement, and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment, blood processing, and hospital or clinical environment standards
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse patient populations
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to specimen collection and patient care
- Prior hospital or healthcare facility experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Certification in phlebotomy or medical assisting is desirable but not required; relevant laboratory experience is essential
