Lead UX/UI Designer

Our client is a cutting-edge technology firm seeking a highly creative and experienced Lead UX/UI Designer to join their team in Boston, Massachusetts, US . You will be responsible for leading the design process from concept to execution, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity visual design. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate complex requirements into elegant and user-friendly solutions. The Lead UX/UI Designer will also mentor junior designers, conduct design reviews, and advocate for best practices in user experience design throughout the organization. Your Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process for web and mobile applications, from user research to final UI implementation.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, user flows, personas, and interactive prototypes.
• Develop high-fidelity visual designs, style guides, and design systems.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure seamless integration of designs.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering skill development.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively.
• Stay abreast of the latest UX/UI trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Contribute to defining the overall product vision and strategy through design leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional UI design skills and a deep understanding of UX principles.
• Tools: Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision.
• User Research: Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Development Familiarity: Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire a design team.
• Environment: Experience in an Agile development environment.
