Position Overview
Our thriving, multidisciplinary Dams/Hydro Engineering team in California is seeking an Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join AECOM’s Global Water Team. Based in our San Diego, Los Angeles, or Orange, CA office, you will work on high-profile water infrastructure projects from feasibility through design and construction. Key Responsibilities
- Participate as a member on teams providing analysis and design support for technical and feasibility studies on various water infrastructure projects.
- Assist with the development of conceptual layouts, designs, and supporting calculations and analyses.
- Develop plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates.
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
- Support field and office engineering activities during construction projects.
- Prepare technical reports and memoranda.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
- Requirements: US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualifications: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Qualifications: Proficiency with AutoCAD or Microstation.
- Qualifications: EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
