We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Shopify Order Fulfillment Manager / Customer Service Manager to lead our order processing, inventory management, and customer support operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end order fulfillment process, ensuring timely delivery, accurate inventory control, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Shopify order fulfillment operations, ensuring orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time.
- Manage inventory levels through robust inventory management systems, coordinating with procurement and warehouse teams to prevent stock discrepancies.
- Lead process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean principles and supply chain analytics to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
- Coordinate transportation planning and logistics activities, including freight management, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution to optimize delivery times and costs.
- Supervise warehouse staff, including warehouse supervisors and dispatchers, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners to ensure seamless freight movement.
- Utilize ERP systems such as AS400 and warehouse management systems to monitor operations, analyze supply chain data, and implement supply chain management best practices.
- Manage budgeting processes related to procurement, transportation costs, and warehouse operations while maintaining profit & loss accountability.
- Develop demand planning strategies aligned with production planning to meet customer expectations without overstocking or shortages.
- Implement process improvements across procurement, materials management, shipping & receiving, and inventory control to enhance operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management with a focus on order fulfillment within e-commerce or retail environments.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading warehouse teams or logistics staff in fast-paced settings.
- Strong background in transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400, and supply chain analytics tools.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding (including NVOCC operations), 3PL partnerships, procurement processes, and fleet management.
- Knowledge of demand planning, production planning, continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.
- Experience managing budgets related to logistics operations while maintaining profitability metrics such as profit & loss statements.
- Ability to analyze complex supply chain data for decision-making; excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
