Job Description

Position Overview

The Marketing Director leads the firm’s overall marketing strategy to support business growth, strengthen brand presence, and expand visibility across regional offices. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Partners, this role is based at the Virginia Beach Corporate Office with occasional travel to Roanoke, Eastern Shore, and Fairfax. The ideal candidate is creative and data‐driven, experienced in professional services or law firm marketing, and adept at multi‐channel digital marketing, content development, and campaign execution. This hands-on leadership role manages brand standards, digital presence, and marketing operations while guiding a team of 2–4 marketing assistants, including Spanish-language initiatives. This position is bonus eligible with potential discretionary, performance-based incentives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop, implement, and refine annual and quarterly marketing strategies to support growth and brand positioning; analyze market conditions; collaborate with managing partners; and recommend effective marketing approaches.
  • Brand and Campaign Management: Oversee brand standards and messaging; direct the creation and optimization of integrated campaigns across digital, print, video, and event channels; manage marketing collateral and ensure compliance; and coordinate marketing events and community sponsorships.
  • Digital & Data-Driven Marketing: Manage the firm’s online presence including SEO/SEM, social media, and online review management; utilize CRM and analytics tools to monitor performance and ROI; and research and implement new digital strategies.
  • Team & Budget Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team; set clear goals and timelines; oversee the department’s operating budget, vendor contracts, and advertising spend; and coordinate with outside agencies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Intake, Operations, Case Management, and Leadership to ensure aligned messaging; support internal communication and firm culture initiatives; and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive marketing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Experience managing brand strategy and marketing operations for a multi-location business.
  • Proven success in designing and executing marketing strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing platforms (Google Suite, Meta Business, SEO/SEM tools), CRM/marketing automation, and analytics reporting software.
  • Strong copywriting, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in hiring, coaching, and developing marketing talent.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.

Compensation

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
