Registered Nurse PRN - Addictions

Position Overview

This role provides clinical support through transcribing provider orders, administering medications, maintaining accurate documentation, and managing treatment plans. The position also involves supervising support staff and overseeing clinic operations to ensure optimal care and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe medical provider orders and obtain requested client information.
• Administer medications ensuring accurate dosage, timely delivery, and client education on side effects.
• Assist in preauthorization of prescriptions/medications and maintain precise documentation per nursing standards.
• Manage a caseload of clients receiving medication services and oversee treatment planning and case reviews.
• Participate in staff meetings, treatment planning sessions, case conferences, and supervisory meetings.
• Conduct case consultations with other agencies as needed.
• Ensure availability and replenishment of laboratory supplies, medical equipment, and medications.
• Administer pregnancy tests and drug screens, and monitor medical equipment per CLIA standards.
• Perform emergency evaluations of high-risk clients and arrange hospitalization when indicated.
• Provide supervision to LPN, MA, and CNA team members and manage medical clinics to enhance client experience.

Required Qualifications

• Kentucky Registered Nursing license.
• One year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Graduation from an Accredited program.
