Position Overview

Join our passionate team at NOLA Education LLC – an innovative curriculum provider for academically at-risk students. As an Entry-Level IT Support Technician - Remote & On-Site, you will be the go-to problem solver for technology challenges. Working closely with our Technology Operations Manager, you'll support both remote and on-site operations, ensuring smooth and effective technology solutions that empower our staff and enhance student success.

Compensation: $40,000 - $52,000 annually | Full-time Position | New Orleans, LA (Central Office)

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of technology tickets through our Zendesk Platform with a friendly and capable approach.
  • Collaborate with IT Connections, our trusted vendor, to ensure seamless technology deployments, repairs, and logistics.
  • Travel within 300 miles of our New Orleans base (approximately 25% travel, with potential for seasonal increases) as needed.
  • Act as the in-house expert for Windows systems, Office 365, wireless networks, and various educational software.
  • Lead special projects, maintain detailed documentation, and manage asset tracking to support operational excellence.
  • Simplify technology for all users, ensuring it is accessible and less intimidating.

Required Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in IT support, customer service, or helpdesk roles.
  • Advanced Spanish communication skills – fluency is a must.
  • Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and familiarity with Windows systems and networks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style based on audience.
  • Critical thinking, empathy, and a passion for helping others overcome technical challenges.
  • Possession of a personal cell phone to maintain team connectivity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Office 365 and some familiarity with MacOS.
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+ or Network+).
  • Background in education technology or experience coordinating projects and managing logistics.
