Description

Senior, quota-carrying hunter role focused on building a new book of business in health tech and life sciences for an AI-powered health expert marketplace. The VP of Sales will own net-new revenue growth, taking the company from founder-led sales to a scalable sales engine while remaining a hands-on closer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a new-business quota of at least $1.5M in annual closed revenue.
  • Build and manage a personal book of business using CRM (HubSpot).
  • Sell a combined software-and-talent offering.
  • Drive outbound and self-generated pipeline.
  • Run the full sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with the founder/CEO and COO on account strategy and pricing.
  • Serve as a visible commercial face at industry events.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 8–15+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience in health tech, life sciences, medical devices, healthcare services, or closely related sectors
  • Experience selling services in addition to software or platforms.
  • Proven track record of owning a personal quota of at least $1-2M annually.
  • Existing, leverageable network of decision-makers and influencers in relevant industries.
  • "Lone wolf" or challenger-style hunter: bias to action, comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell complex, multi-part offerings.
  • Startup-ready: experience in small, pivot-prone companies.

Day-to-Day Activities And KPIs

  • High-velocity outbound.
  • Conference strategy and execution.
  • Deep account penetration.
  • KPIs may include:
    • New-logo ARR and services revenue (primary) totaling at least $1.5M closed in year one.
    • Monthly closed-won targets and time-to-first-close.
    • Number of new opportunities created per month and pipeline coverage.
    • Mix of revenue by product and share of revenue from AI/tech segments.

Compensation

  • Title: Director, Senior Director, or VP of Sales (flexible).
  • Base salary: $110K–$140K (Director-level), potential for higher (VP-level).
  • Variable: Uncapped commission plan, OTE in the high 200s to 300K+.

Growth Path And Collaboration

Initially an IC role with potential to build and lead a commercial team over time.

Close partnership with the founder/CEO, COO, and precision recruiting team.

Opportunity to evolve into a broader commercial leadership role (e.g., CCO).
