Position Overview

Are you a self-starter with strong people skills and the ability to thrive under pressure? Do you enjoy managing fast-paced operations while keeping a cool head and a sharp eye for detail? We’re looking for a highly motivated Operations Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our aircraft detailing business. This role requires a flexible schedule—night and overnight shifts are required at times to align with aircraft arrival/departure windows and client needs.

RealClean has been a trusted leader in high-end aircraft care since 2004—known for precision, discretion, and excellence. We deliver premium detailing and protection services to private jet owners, flight departments, FBOs, and aviation partners who expect flawless results. Comprehensive virtual and in-person training, including hands-on sessions at our Chicago headquarters, ensures full mastery of operational and FAA-compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, FBO/MRO partners, and vendors
  • Respond to inbound leads, schedule on-site walkarounds, and assess aircraft to build and present quotes
  • Manage job scheduling, dispatch, and daily workflow across multiple crews while maintaining accurate CRM and job records
  • Oversee invoicing, payments, and collections follow-ups
  • Address and resolve customer service concerns
  • Maintain high safety standards and ensure team compliance
  • Conduct inventory checks and manage supply orders
  • Oversee towel-cleaning procedures and supply rotation
  • Participate in local advertising and brand awareness efforts, including networking events and distributing marketing materials
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and manage crew members while supervising multiple detailing crews
  • Ensure compliance with FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program requirements
  • Provide weekly reporting on production, quality, client feedback, staffing, and key operational KPIs
  • Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities and recommend process changes to increase throughput and quality
  • Be available for occasional nights, overnights, and weekends as required

Required Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and professionalism when dealing with high-end clients
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-changing environment with fluctuating flight schedules and last-minute updates
  • Highly organized and accountable; capable of managing daily operations with minimal oversight
  • Leadership experience in operations, service-based industries, and team supervision
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to work on-site at airports/FBOs (with access/badging obtained if required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, administrative leadership, or within a luxury service environment
  • Background in aviation, automotive, hospitality, or other high-touch service industries is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage schedules, and make critical decisions under pressure
  • Excellent client communication skills, professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience
