Position Overview

Legacy Toyota of Dallas, new to Dallas, Texas, is looking to add Sales Professionals. If you are an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for customer service, product knowledge, and selling—and if you enjoy working with people—then we want you on our team as a Sales Professional at our Legacy Toyota of Dallas store. The Sales Professional is expected to be extremely knowledgeable about our vehicles and services, the automotive industry, and our local market, including vehicle selection, performance, accessories, efficiencies, safety features and functions, and financing options for both new and used inventories. You will present vehicles to customers in an attractive and informative fashion that promotes prompt sales while fostering ongoing relationships to encourage repeat business. Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features; taking test drives; comparing and contrasting competitive models; and explaining warranties and services.
  • Helps customers with vehicle selection and promotes model options, value-add products and services, and purchase and finance options following dealership policies.
  • Conducts vehicle test drives while ensuring adherence to speed limits and all other road rules.
  • Continuously learns about product updates, features, accessories, and inventory benefits.
  • Facilitates vehicle delivery by explaining operations, warranty, and servicing requirements.
  • Overcomes objections, asks for the sale, negotiates pricing, completes sales or purchase agreements, and provides warranty, service, and finance explanations.
  • Maintains accurate sales documentation and high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).
  • Implements an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business.
  • Keeps up-to-date on vehicles, accessories, financing options, and promotions.
  • Negotiates sale closures in a clear, concise, and ethical fashion.
  • Prospects daily for potential customers and maintains rapport with previous customers.
  • Provides sales management information by completing required reports.
  • Attends sales meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Realizes that business is built on customer satisfaction and is devoted to guaranteeing it.
  • Establishes personal goals consistent with dealership productivity standards and devises strategies to meet them.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years' automotive sales experience preferred but willing to train.
  • Previous sales or customer service experience (any industry) a plus.
  • Able to achieve goals with limited direct supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain composed under stress.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette combined with a pleasant attitude.
  • Ability to develop relationships with vendors.
  • Proven capability to work well in a process-driven environment.
  • Professional demeanor and conduct at all times.
  • Confidence in one’s ability to succeed.
  • Commitment to teamwork across departments.
  • Professional appearance and a strong work ethic.
  • Self-starter mentality and self-motivation.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Toyota experience is a plus.
