Organic Search (SEO & Content Marketing) Intern

Position Overview

Join a tech-enabled growth firm as an SEO & Content Marketing Intern focused on hands-on client projects and learning best practices. Gain hands-on experience in SEO best practices, build a writing portfolio, and learn the inner workings of a full-service marketing agency. There are opportunities to grow your professional experience and potentially advance within search marketing, advertising, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and understand search engine optimization techniques, strategies, and processes
• Optimize and edit website copy
• Complete keyword research
• Write title tags and meta descriptions
• Identify internal linking opportunities
• Build SEO content calendars with relevant blog topic ideas
• Implement optimizations to client websites (no coding experience required)
• Assist the Organic Search team with ad hoc projects
• Learn to perform competitive analysis
• Use Google Analytics and other industry-leading SEO tools

Required Qualifications

• Strong interest in a career that blends analytics and creativity, especially in search marketing, advertising, and marketing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Drive
• Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and initiative
• Ability to function well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of HTML is a plus
