Technical Search Developer (Coveo) - Remote

Position Overview

Perficient is seeking a Senior Search Developer to design, integrate, and optimize enterprise search experiences for our clients. In this client-facing role you will work within our Data & Analytics team to deploy robust search solutions using commercial/open‑source search platforms, while leveraging languages like Java or .NET. This position is based in the United States with a remote option available.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and configure search platforms (indexing, relevancy tuning, query pipelines, connectors, analytics, ranking signals).
• Build and debug services for ingestion, enrichment, ETL, and search orchestration (APIs, microservices).
• Design and deploy search solutions in a cloud-native environment and integrate with data sources and applications.
• Own troubleshooting across data pipelines, query performance, relevancy, scalability, and SLAs.
• Collaborate directly with clients on discovery, solution design, demos, documentation, and training.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with one or more commercial/open‑source search platforms (e.g., Coveo, Elasticsearch, etc.).
• Proficiency in programming using Java and/or .NET with strong debugging and profiling skills.
• Experience in deploying applications/services in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with ETL/data pipelines, SQL/NoSQL databases, and source control systems like Git and GitHub.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and integrating with CMS/DXP platforms.
• Proficiency in using AI tools to enhance productivity and product quality.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration, along with prior consulting experience.
