Medical Assistant - Multiple Locations Hiring

Position Overview

Midwest Express Clinic is seeking a full-time, energetic, and efficient Medical Assistant to support both administrative and clinical functions at our affordable walk-in immediate care facilities across the Midwest, including the Chicagoland area. In this role, you will engage with patients, manage front desk tasks, and perform back office duties. You will work rotating shifts (12-hour shifts, with weekends included) at a facility open 7 days a week, with a competitive hourly rate of $23.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer telephones on multiple lines and greet patients with a smile.
• Efficiently navigate the EMR system, register patients, and handle correspondence.
• Schedule appointments and manage prior authorizations and patient charts.
• Process payments and ensure administrative tasks are executed with excellence.
• Draw blood, perform EKG's, prepare exam rooms, and administer medications as directed.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and triage patients by taking vitals and obtaining medical history.
• Demonstrate eagerness to learn new skills and contribute to clinic cleanliness after each shift.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 0-2 years in a similar role.
• Ability to manage both administrative and clinical tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
