Job Description

Position Overview

Panther Life Sciences Corporation is unlocking the power of the skin – the body’s largest and most responsive immune organ – with its proprietary dissolvable microarray patch (MAP) technology. By delivering minute doses of thermostabilized treatments below the skin’s surface, Panther enables targeted immune activation for improved efficacy and minimized side effects. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Design Engineer to join our interdisciplinary Device team in developing Panther’s “iPhone of patches.” In this role, you will focus on user-centric design through the entire product lifecycle—from concept to launch—while collaborating with formulation, manufacturing, software, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, prototype, and develop products from idea to final production.
  • Create and present innovative design solutions in brainstorming sessions and leadership pitches.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (formulation, manufacturing, software, and engineering) to ensure designs are both visually compelling and technically viable.
  • Lead the design process end-to-end: mood boards, sketching, CAD, specifications, pre-production approvals, and product launch.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial design and/or user-centric product design.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred), Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent), and advanced rendering.
  • Strong communication skills (visual and verbal) with the ability to clearly articulate and advocate for design decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience working within cross-functional engineering teams to deliver attractive, functional commercial products.
  • A sharp eye for aesthetics, visual design, and composition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience designing consumer healthcare or cosmetic devices.
  • A portfolio showcasing full lifecycle design, from initial concept to commercial launch with measurable market impact.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing methods, packaging, and sourcing for commercial-scale production.

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Unlimited PTO and paid holidays
  • Team events and company meetups
  • Hybrid work culture
