Job Description
Position Overview
At Chewy, we strive to be the most trusted and convenient online destination for pet parents and our partners. Chewy is seeking a Director, Agentic Performance Marketing to accelerate the evolution of its lower-funnel performance engine. In this role, based in Fort Lauderdale, Boston, or Seattle, you will build and scale next-generation marketing systems that drive customer growth, efficiency, and profitability. This unique opportunity empowers you to shift from channel-based execution to an agentic growth system—owning strategy, performance, and automation across multiple channels—to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of Chewy’s lower-funnel marketing into an intelligent, agentic system powered by data, automation, and AI.
- Own portfolio strategy, budgets, and performance across key acquisition channels including Paid Search, PLA/Shopping, DPAs, Display, and Affiliate.
- Develop and implement integrated growth strategies that balance customer acquisition, retention, and contribution margin.
- Partner with Product, Marketing Science, and Engineering to design and scale AI-enabled decision systems that optimize spend, creative, and audience targeting.
- Champion a culture of experimentation—testing creative frameworks, bidding models, and targeting strategies to improve ROI and LTV.
- Build automation and measurement infrastructure in collaboration with Analytics to improve signal fidelity and speed of decision-making.
- Translate insights into clear recommendations for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of performance marketers and data specialists.
- Partner with Finance, Merchandising, and Supply teams to align marketing levers with business priorities and inventory dynamics.
- Influence cross-functional partners across Product, Engineering, and Creative to accelerate the adoption of automation and AI capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive performance marketing or growth experience, with at least 3–5 years managing multi-channel lower-funnel programs at scale.
- Proven ownership of large budgets and accountability for both growth and profit outcomes.
- Deep expertise across Paid Search, PLA/Shopping, DPAs, and Affiliate Marketing.
- Strong understanding of marginal returns, constrained optimization, and marketing measurement (MMM, MTA, and incrementality testing).
- Experience implementing or managing automation and AI-driven marketing systems.
- Advanced analytical skills; proficiency with SQL and comfort working with Product and Engineering teams.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels and lead through change.
