ABOUT THE ROLE

The Entry-Level Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in managing all electrical maintenance activities within the plant. Your focus will be on ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within environmental regulations. You will collaborate with teams to plan, schedule, and execute control system activities to enhance equipment reliability and utilization.

You’ll be part of the Amrize US Build4Growth Program—an extensive 14-month learning and development initiative aimed at equipping new engineers like you with foundational knowledge and hands-on experience across the key operational areas of our cement plants. This program incorporates online learning, face-to-face sessions, on-the-job training, and relevant projects.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Promote a culture of safety amongst employees and contractors.
  • Champion electrical safety practices in the workplace.
  • Oversee the electrical and instrumentation technicians, coordinating daily work orders and projects assigned by the maintenance coordinator.
  • Implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs, conducting systematic inspections on plant electrical equipment while using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Accurately document electrical schematics and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations concerning system programming.
  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including master equipment files and repair histories.
  • Evaluate computer control equipment to guarantee they meet plant specifications.
  • Define and implement changes to existing process control programs.
  • Provide training and support on control systems to plant personnel.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues within control systems.
  • Engage in developing and executing equipment and process modifications for improved reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Commit to upholding health, safety, and environmental policies in every work scenario.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Education: Bachelor's degree.

Field of Study Preferred: Electrical Engineering.

Required Work Experience: 0-3 years.

Required Computer and Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Travel Requirements: 5%.

Additional Requirements:

  • Self-starter with a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and correct use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
