Position Overview
In this role, you will join IBM Consulting via our world-class Associates Program for university hires as an Associate Consultant. You will work with a diverse range of clients worldwide, delivering innovative solutions focused on the hybrid cloud and AI journey. This opportunity is rooted in long-term relationships and close collaboration with clients across multiple industries.
You will be based in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) and work alongside experts to drive adoption of emerging technologies and enhance our clients’ security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior-level security consultants to collect and analyze business and technical requirements, then design holistic solutions incorporating people, processes, and technologies.
- Work as a team member with client personnel and other IBM teams to identify functional requirements and lead solution design where needed.
- Participate in design activities ranging from requirements analysis to systems, application, and process design specification and implementation.
- Continuously gain knowledge across multiple platforms, processes, and architectures to drive meaningful impact for our clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Outcome focused and resilient, with the flexibility and resolve to succeed in diverse consultative contexts.
- Familiarity with network design, security, authentication, authorization techniques, and encryption protocols.
- Experience in one or more security domains such as Threat Management, Data and Application Security, Identity & Access Management, Cloud and Infrastructure Security, or Strategy and Risk.
- Knowledge in Network Design and Security, Web or Custom Application Development, Mobile Development, Software Engineering, and Identity and Authentication Technology.
- Exposure to software tools such as Java, Python, C/C++, Ruby, GO/Golang, bash, C#, SharePoint, along with Software Testing and Test Automation practices.
- Familiarity with network security tools for vulnerability scanning, network monitoring, sniffing, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection and protection, anomaly detection, and encryption standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Security Consultant with an established track record in advising clients on security solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at addressing complex security challenges with precision.
- Technical proficiency in implementing security solutions tailored to diverse business requirements.
