Job Description
Position Overview
Long Wave Inc. is seeking a mid‐career Systems Engineer to take ownership of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), requirements management, and architecture development for Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The role requires an engineer who can manage requirements baselines, contribute to system‑level design, and ensure compliance with program standards while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. The position is On‑Site in OKC Required and does not offer visa or C2C support.

Employee will work within an office environment and may be expected to travel occasionally to locations where specific PPE or attire is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply MBSE methodologies to develop and maintain system architecture models, supporting requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities.
- Requirements Management: Develop, document, and manage requirements baselines throughout the lifecycle. Ensure full traceability and alignment with DoD standards, and lead resolution of requirements issues.
- System Design and Integration: Contribute to and lead aspects of system design and integration, ensuring compliance with performance, reliability, maintainability, and safety standards.
- Verification and Validation: Develop verification strategies, author test plans, and lead execution activities to validate system performance against requirements.
- Technical Documentation: Generate and maintain detailed technical documentation including specifications, interface definitions, and test artifacts for internal and customer use.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with cross‐functional teams including software, hardware, and specialty engineering to drive integration and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Compliance: Ensure engineering processes and deliverables meet DoD acquisition policies, standards, and customer requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Security Clearance Strongly Preferred
- US Citizenship Required
- NO VISA SUPPORT or C2C
- On‑Site in OKC Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with MBSE concepts and tools (Cameo experience preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with DoD acquisition processes, lifecycle management, and air vehicle (aircraft) integration.
- Familiarity with simulation and modeling tools, and experience with Agile development methodologies.
