Job Description
Position Overview
As a CBRE Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for building systems, equipment, and grounds. Part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, you will support building operations with a focus on HVAC systems. Join the CBRE Team in providing facilities excellence to our client’s locations in Memphis, Tennessee. Company Van, Tools, Uniforms, Card, Phone and Tablet are provided, with the option to start work from home every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and maintain an inventory of supplies and tools.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of building machinery and systems, including emergency repairs as needed.
- Inspect building and industrial systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to ensure they operate within design capabilities and meet prescribed environmental conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all codes, regulations, and company safety directives while managing daily operations, including the operation of company-issued vehicles.
- Provide technical guidance and lead by example, sharing in-depth knowledge and coaching team members.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies, handling sensitive or complex information as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification and a valid driver’s license are required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying 50 lbs. or more.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment by analyzing multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to consider new perspectives on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
