Entry Level Insurance Sales Representative

Position Overview
As an entry-level insurance agent with FBL Financial Group, Inc. and its Affiliates - Omaha, you will work directly with clients to identify and manage everyday risks using traditional Home/Auto/Umbrella and life insurance products. This role is ideal for candidates with prior sales marketing experience and a passion for customer service. No insurance sales experience is needed as we will invest in comprehensive training. Applicants must be willing to obtain an insurance license.
Compensation
$80,000 - $120,000 yearly
Key Responsibilities
- Develop risk management strategies for each customer to ensure their policy needs are continuously met.
- Maintain accurate records including bookkeeping, client, and sales reports to track assigned goals.
- Pursue new clients through various marketing strategies to expand your portfolio of policyholders.
- Listen to existing, new, and prospective clients to assess their needs and stage-of-life priorities before presenting tailored insurance options.
- Stay abreast of changes in rules or policies to effectively adjust insurance programs for clients.
Required Qualifications
- Must have or be willing to obtain an insurance license (no prior insurance sales experience needed).
- Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are required; customer service experience is a plus.
- Basic computer skills, including effective use of Microsoft Office programs.
- Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, relevant insurance programs, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Prior sales marketing experience is ideal.
