Position Overview

The Compensation for this position includes a salary range of $82,650.00 - $91,350.00, an anticipated COLA of $26,400.00, and a total compensation range of $109,050.00 - $117,750.00. As the Lead Quality Control Engineer, you will manage quality control processes on projects, mentor less-experienced QC engineers, and ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards. Employment is contingent upon verification of work authorization, substance abuse screening, physical exam (if applicable), and required background checks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and update the project quality process log (QPL) and provide feedback to the QC manager.
  • Direct the removal and replacement of non-conforming work and enforce stop work when necessary.
  • Monitor contract details, plans, specifications, and applicable codes; submit and review RFIs for field changes.
  • Coordinate trade partner test and inspection requests and maintain a daily schedule.
  • Participate in work completion tagging, in-house punch list, and pre-final punch list processes to document and address deficiencies.
  • Audit quality control procedures and engage in the quality recognition program.
  • Champion continuous improvement processes and lessons learned initiatives.
  • Perform safety and housekeeping inspections through the SAFE program.

Required Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven ability to comprehend and implement project specifications, standards, and code requirements across various disciplines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Excel-based templates), Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
