Job Description
Position Overview
This role involves supporting and promoting change management and departmental initiatives. The candidate is expected to deliver routine work independently in accordance with established procedures, make both routine and non‐routine decisions within defined guidelines, and maintain accurate member records across multiple platforms while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Meets or exceeds departmental quality and service standards.
- Delivers routine work independently in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
- Makes routine and non‐routine decisions with increasing discretion, except on matters of significant impact to the business.
- Determines eligibility and confirms effective dates for benefit elections based on contractual guidelines.
- Leverages critical thinking and problem-solving skills to create and modify member level records across multiple products and platforms.
- Maintains accurate member records by verifying dates, names, salary figures, and other provided information.
- Applies policy provisions for effective dates, evidence of insurability, and other pertinent information to implement necessary changes.
- Ensures actions are customer-centric by recognizing and addressing customer needs with flexibility and responsiveness.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED (Minimum Required)
- No prior experience required
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
- Ability to perform under stress in emergency, critical, or hazardous situations
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail
- Proven relationship management skills with internal stakeholders and/or clients
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Successful completion of regulatory and job training requirements
