Position Overview

The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving sales, developing strong dealer and grower relationships, and expanding the adoption of Netafim’s innovative irrigation solutions in the Rocky Mountain Plains Region. This role combines technical expertise in irrigation systems with strategic sales skills to achieve company goals and deliver cutting-edge, sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Market Development:
    • Drive sales of Netafim’s complete product portfolio, including innovative irrigation solutions.
    • Expand market share in the assigned region by promoting sustainable irrigation practices.
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets for revenue, market share, and profitability.
    • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify growth opportunities.
  • Dealer & Grower Relationships:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, growers, and other stakeholders.
    • Provide education on product features, advantages, and benefits through seminars, field tours, and demonstrations.
    • Collaborate with dealers and growers to design, install, and maintain optimal irrigation systems.
  • Territory Management:
    • Maintain comprehensive and accurate territory records, including forecasts and budgets.
    • Manage the territory through consistent communication, regular visits, and high call volume.
    • Develop and implement strategies to address market needs and align with company goals.
  • Technical & Product Expertise:
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of irrigation system design, installation, and maintenance.
    • Promote innovative irrigation solutions by highlighting sustainability and efficiency benefits.
    • Serve as a technical resource to ensure successful product implementation.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with internal teams (product management, customer service, marketing) to align strategies.
    • Represent Netafim at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
    • Support the development of marketing materials, sales tools, and educational resources.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, manufacturing, or related operations, preferably in irrigation or agriculture.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to engage diverse audiences.
  • Technical knowledge of irrigation systems and their applications.
  • Proficient in CRM tools and data analysis for strategic planning.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
    • Daily travel by company-provided vehicle and occasional air travel.
    • Travel up to 50% overnight.
    • Must reside within the assigned territory: Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. Preferably UT or Western ID.
    • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage on Company liability policy.
