EEG Technician

Position Overview

Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the well being of patients with Neurological Disorders. The EEG Technologist performs diagnostic testing using an electroencephalograph to generate reports for physician interpretation. On the job training available if no experience. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual seeking a career in the healthcare industry.

Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Work Location: In person

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor ambulatory EEG patients
• Log into patients' computers to check the technical integrity of recordings
• Verify that EEG studies are recording correctly
• Check electrode impedances
• Ensure video records are stored correctly
• Identify common artifacts during testing
• Troubleshoot equipment issues
• Call patients and answer phone inquiries
• Upload EEG studies
• Clean equipment and perform light office work
• Work closely under the direct supervision of a Lead Registered EEG Technologist

Required Qualifications

• Must be technology and computer savvy
• Able to work independently as well as under supervision
• Possess strong problem-solving skills and demonstrate compassion and patience
• Exhibit good work ethics
• Knowledge of the 10-20 International electrode placement system is a plus (training provided)
• Some experience in the medical field is helpful
• Ability to work effectively with patients, families, caregivers, physicians, and other healthcare team members
• Strong organizational skills
