Position Overview
Marriott Vacation Club®, a leader in the vacation ownership industry, is seeking motivated individuals with concierge and customer service experience to join our award-winning sales and marketing team. In this role as a Vacation Sales Concierge, you will work with guests at Marriott® hotel properties to promote the Marriott Vacation Club Destinations® Program by offeringfinancial incentivesin exchange for learning about our points-based ownership product.
Key Responsibilities
- Update the information board regularly to inform employees of important events.
- Provide assistance and guidance to employees struggling with job duties (e.g., low package sales numbers).
- Assign lead calls or emails to Sales Executives based on line rotation.
- Create spreadsheets to organize information related to Sales and Marketing activities (e.g., mailing lists, tours).
- Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information in software used during the sales process; contact appropriate departments to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
- Promote awareness of the brand image both internally and externally.
- Utilize sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty through up-selling.
- Encourage guests or callers to purchase or schedule preview package sales/tours and address questions about property facilities/services.
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and motivating employees, serving as a role model and the first point of contact for theGuarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policyprocess.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
- Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance; protect company assets.
- Anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; and express genuine appreciation to guests.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, prepare and review written documents accurately, and answer telephones using proper etiquette.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement improvements to increase organizational quality.
- Read and verify information presented in various formats.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Must have previous Marketing Executive and/or Sales Executive production role experience within the Vacation Ownership industry.
- Willingness to make 75-100 manual phone calls per day.
- Must have experience booking a Vacation Ownership tour.
- Enjoy talking on the phone and interacting with guests.
- Possess bold persuasion skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
- Flexible schedule.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
Preferred Qualifications
- Telemarketing and/or Telesales experience.
- Recent experience (within the last 3 years) as a Marketing Executive and/or Sales Executive in the Vacation Ownership industry.
